In March this year, Facebook started testing a new feature for video editing which utilizes machine learning to locate areas of interest within your video and then provide auto-edits based on these calculations.
The new feature helps creators reframe and size aspect ratios of their videos from 16:9 horizontal video to either 1:1 or 4:5 for feed. Not only does this help creators ensure the correct aspect ratio, but it also assists optimizing the main subject in the content, keeping the main subjects centred within the frame.
