Google has added another useful feature to its smorgasbord of built-in features; this one comes in the form of a guitar tuner.
To enable this feature, all you need to do is search for “google tuner”. From there you will need to grant access to your microphone (if you haven’t already granted Google access to that).
The tuner interface is not dissimilar to most guitar tuner apps already available; pluck a string and Google will detect which note you’re aiming for. The chromatic tuner is cross-platform, meaning you can access it on your phone just as easily as on your desktop.
One potential downside is that the Google tuner’s effectiveness depends a lot on the hardware you’re using. However, this is the case with most other tuning apps.
