LinkedIn Adds New Tools to ‘Creator Mode’

LinkedIn is adding some more substance to its ‘Creator Mode’ features by adding LinkedIn Live access for those with Creator Mode turned on. Additionally, the platform is adding a new newsletter option to help creators maintain connections with their audience.

LinkedIn Live will initially only be available to Pages and Members with more than 150 followers and connections who meet a certain criteria. Creators will now also have access to the option in order to provide them with another way to maximise their engagement on LinkedIn.

LinkedIn Creator Mode

Users who have Creator Mode turned on will now be able to broadcast to their followers on the app. According to LinkedIn, Live videos see, on average, 7x more reactions and 24x more comments than native video produced by the same broadcasters in the app.

LinkedIn is also giving Creator Mode users access to newsletters:

“Whenever you publish a new article in your newsletter, your subscribers are automatically notified via push, in-app, and email notifications so they stay up to date with your latest content.”

Creator Mode was originally launched in March this year with selected users, since then, access has been expanding. However, not all users can sign-up to the option just yet. If you want to find out if you have access, you can do so via the Creator mode edit hub; if you have access, you’ll see the Creator Tools section.

Last but not least, LinkedIn is also improving discovery for LinkedIn Creators, which could help to improve your presence and following on the platform:

“With creator mode on, you’re eligible to be featured as a suggested creator to follow.”
