Clubhouse Unveils New App Icon and Launches Saved Replays

Clubhouse has recently updated its app to feature a new ‘Saved Replays’ option that will allow users to save audio from recorded Clubhouse chats and listen to later down the line.

Although not widely known, Clubhouse launched its recorded rooms options towards the end of last year, with the option to save replays for a later stage seen in testing.

While Clubhouse experienced a massive rise earlier last year, it has seemingly dropped off the social media earth with some vigor. However, the platform still retains a loyal userbase; as such, it may still be an opportunity in the format.

Let’s take a look at some of the recent updates the platform has implemented in attempt to help it reclaim its place in the social media world.

Saved Replays

Clubhouse users will now be able to save replays for a room by simply tapping on the three dot menu from either a live room or the hallway. Within the menu, there will be an option to ‘Save Replay’ for later. Once this has been done users will be able to find their saved replays via a new share icon at the top of their profiles.

New App Icon

In addition to Saved Replays, Clubhouse has unveiled a new app icon, using streaming influencer Abraxas Higgins as the new face of the app.

As said by Clubhouse:

“A former Wall Street banker turned music marketing strategist turned audio influencer. In addition to being the host of Clubhouse’s beloved morning show 9AM in London, Abraxas is also the most followed person in the UK on Clubhouse and makes more money now from brand partners than he did as an investment strategist.”

Will these updates be enough to pull Clubhouse back into the fiery competition amongst the larger players in the industry? Unlikely, but only time will tell.
