Trumps’ Social Media App, Truth Social, Goes Live In Apple’s App Store

Former United States President, Donald Trump, has debuted his app, ‘Truth Social’, which is available for download on Apple’s App Store, but with limited access to the service for now.

After being suspended from an array of social platforms, Donald Trump decided to take matters into his own hands by launching his very own social media app. Truth Social, which does not look too dissimilar to Twitter, is owned by Trump Media and Technology Group, the media company the former president started following his exiting of the White House.

The app is currently only available via Apple’s App Store and not available on any Android phones. There is also no web version of Truth Social.

Trump’s app debut demonstrates how the former president seeks to muscle his way back onto social media following a year of being suspended by an array of mainstream social networking platforms, including Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

As tweeted by Trump’s son, Donald Jr:

“Get Ready! Your favorite President will see you soon!”

Truth Social is not the only app geared towards conservatives who feel that their free speech is being suppressed; Twitter competitor Gettr was also created in lieu of mainstream social apps and their ‘suppression of free speech’.

At the moment, Truth Social is only available in the U.S.
