LinkedIn Acquires Oribi Analytics Platform

As LinkedIn strives to find new ways to assist businesses in maximising their performance across its platform, the company has announced that it has acquired Oribi to help marketers build smarter campaigns.

As said by LinkedIn:

“Our investment in Oribi builds on our focus to create solutions that connect organizations with their professional audiences. With more than 57 million global businesses building their brands on Pages and more than 24,000 virtual events being created each week, LinkedIn has never been more important in connecting organizations and professional communities while creating value for businesses.”

Who Is Oribi?

Oribi is an Israel-based marketing analytics company. Touted for their superior analytics insights (some would argue that it is even better than Google Analytics), Oribi makes tracking easier and allows users to track far more than other existing analytics tools.

Oribi’s tools enable simple event tracking by highlighting key insights that marketers need to take in order to capitalise on performance trends.

As part of LinkedIn’s acquisition of Oribi, it will be opening an office ion Tel Aviv, with a few members of the Oribi team expected to join LinkedIn in the new office.

Oribi analytics

“Oribi’s team brings deep analytics expertise that will help us accelerate the capabilities of our attribution technology across our lines of business – from helping a marketer find better leads to a recruiter identifying the right candidates.”

While this new functionality will more than likely be a paid offering with LinkedIn’s add-on functions, it could prove to be extremely significant for marketers looking to maximise their performance on LinkedIn.
