The biggest Youtuber initiative is underway with the goal of raising $20 000 000 (R291 150 000) to plant 20 000 000 trees by the 1st of January 2020.
The initiative called #TeamTrees started as a twitter suggestion to MrBeast, a popular Youtuber, to plant 20 million trees for reaching 20 million subscribers.
Planting 20 million trees can take some time when you have just a few people, so they enlisted the help of the YouTube community and the
Arbor Day Foundation to make this a reality. With the support of 600+ Youtubers, including Jeffree Star, Alan Walker, Mark Rober, and many other influential Youtubers; #TeamTrees has managed to raise $4 000 000 in under 48 hours.
We hope to see #TeamTrees reach its goal of planting 20 million trees by January 1st 2020.
