Learn A New Word Every Day With Google

Gone are the days of having to dust off a dictionary to learn the definitions of words – these days people turn to search to find the answers they seek – whether they want to know how the dictionary defines certain words, or they simply came across a new word in an article.

Grasping the meaning of a new word is a powerful thing – it helps to unlock information throughout your day-to-day life. According to Google Trends, the most top-searched English definitions worldwide as of September were “introvert” followed by “integrity”.

With this in mind, Google has created a new feature that sparks your curiosity while helping you learn about different words.

How To Learn New Words With Google

Through the Google App on your mobile, you can now sign up to receive daily notifications that will help you learn new words, and the facts behind these words. For example: did you know that the word “benefactor” derives form the Latin saying “bene facere,” which means “do good”?

To sign up for this new feature, all you need to do is look up the definition of any English word on Google, then just click on the bell icon in the top right corner.

Upcoming updates to this new feature will see the ability to choose different difficulty levels to help you expand your vocabulary further. Developing your language proficiency has never been so easy.
