Boston Dynamics has released a new video showcasing Atlas, its bipedal robot, executing an impressive ‘parkour’ routine.
What is Atlas?
Atlas is a cutting-edge machine that assists Boston Dynamic’s engineers in the quest of working out better control and perception systems. Essentially, it is a research project that includes gymnastics and parkour routines.
In the past demonstrations of Atlas, it was essentially ‘blind’, continually executing moves as long as the environment was unchanged. Now, however, it is less programmed than before by relying on its own perception to navigate.
